Boat Operators Training 2024
Alia Investments Pvt Ltd proudly concluded the 2024 edition of its Boat Operators Training Program, which aimed to equip marine vessel captains with essential knowledge and skills to operate efficiently and handle emergencies on board. This year, the 3-day program ran from August 6th to 8th, attracting 60 participants from various resorts, maritime service companies, government institutions and individuals.
The training, a collaborative effort between Alia Investments and the Maldives Institute of Technology (MIT), combines theoretical and practical sessions to enhance captains’ technical skills, focusing particularly on vessel safety and security. Participants received in-depth training on maritime navigation, safety protocols, emergency response procedures, and handling fires or medical emergencies on board. The program also included comprehensive sessions on outboard engine maintenance and troubleshooting.
The 2024 Boat Operators Training Program coincided with the inauguration of the 5th Yamaha Technical Training Program in the Maldives, held by Alia Investments in partnership with the Yamaha Technical Academy of Japan. This collaboration underscores Alia’s commitment to maintaining industry standards in maritime safety and professionalism.
Alia Investments expressed its gratitude to all participants and supporters of the program. The company noted the positive response from resorts, marine transportation companies, and government institutions, highlighting the program’s role in meeting the evolving needs of the maritime industry. This year also marks a significant milestone—the 50th anniversary of the introduction of Yamaha Outboard Engines to the Maldives, a testament to Alia’s longstanding partnership with Yamaha and dedication to enhancing marine operations in the region.
Alia looks forward to continuing its efforts in fostering maritime safety and excellence through ongoing training and collaboration with key industry partners.
