On the occasion of World Blood Donor’s Day, Alia Investments Pvt Ltd, in collaboration with Maldives Blood Society (MBS), held their annual Blood Donation camp on 15th June 2019 at Maldives Art Gallery. This camp was the 05th consecutive year Alia organized this event, as a part of their CSR initiative.
This year’s event was far more vibrant than the previous years, with a specific target group. The main aim of this year’s blood donation camp was to encourage the young generation to partake in this noble cause and introduce a new batch of fresh and new blood donors into the society who would be regular donors in the years to come.
The camp was inaugurated by Minister of Health, Mr. Abdulla Ameen along with representatives from Alia Investment and Maldives Blood Society. Certificates were distributed to organizations who took initiatives to arrange such camps in association with MBS in the previous years. In addition to this, the most regular donors of the previous year was recognized and a special certificate of recognition was presented to them.
This blood donation camp successfully reached the target of 200+ donors in one day especially a huge participation from schools/college/university students.
